UTeM has been at the forefront of financial transformation in the education sector, launching its first Finance Seminar in 2018 to tackle the challenges of the digital age. It all began with the first-ever UTeM Finance Seminar (UFiS1.0), themed ”Financial Revolution 4.0 (FIRE 4.0)”. Organized by the UTeM Treasurer’s Office, the seminar was held on 17–18 August 2018 at Mahkota Hotel, Melaka. Its goal? To provide valuable insights into managing finances effectively in the fast-evolving era of Industry Revolutions 4.0.

But that’s not all. The success of UFiS1.0 inspired a follow-up!

Fast forward to 13–14 September 2019 and UFiS2.0 took place at Bayview Hotel, Langkawi. This time, the theme was “Transformation of the Public Sector in Procurement Management”, focusing on adapting procurement practices to the digital world and again, perfectly in tune with Industry Revolutions 4.0 innovations.

Expanding Horizons in Sabah!
The third series, UFiS3.0, happened from 27 February to 1 March 2023 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Each series of UFiS has brought new experiences, relevant topics and meaningful networking opportunities for participants across sectors.
